Solent Bosun's Chair

With the new design concept, enabling you to stand up and walk around wearing the chair. Just hook onto the halyard and the chair takes up shape - comfortable and safe.

• Made in blue acrylic, with bright yellow straps for better visibility at night.

• Adjustable strap between the legs to stop knees from being pinched together.

• Chair Holdall clips onto the side as a toolbag, giving secure stowage for tools aloft.

• Floats if dropped overboard - even with several tools in it.

• Pocket to fit a wooden seat (Part No. 19-35), if required.

• Recommended for climbing a spar with ‘mast steps’.

• To work at the very top of the mast, above the halyard. sheave, use with SOLENT TOPCLIMBER. (Part No. 19-37)

Solent Bosun's Chair For Disabled Sailors

Designed for lifting disabled sailors into the boat from their wheel chair on the pontoon, with maximum safety and comfort.

•With the wrap around design it is very easy to put on.

•Made with closed cell foam covered in yacht Acrylic to give the comfort of a padded seat.

• Adjustable waist strap to hold firmly in position.

• Two adjustable leg straps to stop knees from being pinched together.

• Two shoulder straps to support the back.

• Chair holdall clips onto the side as a bag.

• Pocket to fit a wooden seat(Part No. 19-35), if required.
This chair can be used with the yacht's mainsail halyard or perhaps, using the boom as a derrick arm or in conjunction with a purpose made davit for dinghy sailing. It has been used by RYA Sailability who has described it as an 'excellent piece of design'.
